LIFE....as I take it.....
I dedicate this post of mine to Larry Lewis, who has been a pillar of strenght, motivating me,reaching out when I thought I had lost it all...Thank you Larry....I still need your support always....
“As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by.” Unknown
Don't take life too serious. You'll never escape it alive anyway.
Don't take life too serious. You'll never escape it alive anyway.
Life has a beautiful rhythm and pace..live as it comes...if you try and outrun it,you will miss out on its beauty.Instead of running after life, see the treasures that are right here and now. Rather than resenting or regretting what has already happened, focus your thoughts on the good you can do in this moment. There are plenty of opportunities when you choose to see them.
If you’re constantly chasing life, the best of it eludes you. Decide to do a little less pursuing and a lot more enjoying.
You cannot do all of this week’s breathing, or eating, or sleeping in just one day. There’s plenty of time to get everything done if you’ll just stop wasting so much effort on jumping ahead.
Seek to live in harmony with the rhythm and flow of life. Live life as it comes, and it will come to you in great abundance.Life is a journey, not a destination.... is a phrase that has become popular. Have you pondered the true meaning of this statement? If you have, you no doubt, recognize that, life is a journey with many steps on your unique personal journey that takes you down a winding and sometimes bumpy road of constant evolution. Each day, you are provided a myriad of opportunities that allow you to transform into your next best self more of who you truly are.
I could never think of life as a destination, but I suppose this could be a report in how one measures success, or what they make out the meaning of their life to be. Many people struggle, lose their health, hoard, and sacrifice many values, just to arrive at what they consider happiness to be. But there is also the philosophy that says it is not where you end up in life that counts, but how you got there. Many people reach old age realizing that they wasted the best years of their life, trying to chase something that was non existent or right in front of them the whole time.
You have to go through many obstacles in your life, it doesn't matter if they are hard or easy. Life never stops, you never know what will happen next. If life was a destination, you would never be able to move on and wouldn't get anywhere in life.
Consider you are on a journey. You travel, grow, see different sites and everyplace is different. Just like everyday of your life. On a journey you are normally seeking a destination. With life the destination is always a day away.
To end the journey is to cease living (destination)......the ultimate destination is death...
These are my views, please share yours...I have learnt a lot from Larry, and I hope it will help me to continue to grow as a person, each day of my life...

Alpana,
ReplyDeleteYou are such a strong, beautiful, woman who has so much to offer.
Love you
Jess
I am always here for you.
So many wonderful thoughts in this post, Alpana...I think these are my favorite:
ReplyDelete"Decide to do a little less pursuing and a lot more enjoying"
It feels so good to just breathe, relax, and be...as you say, life comes to us in exactly the right amount, at exactly the right time.
And I second your appreciation for Larry...I always enjoy visiting his blog and reading his inspiring messages.
Wonderful post...love to you ❤
I have to agree that we miss so much in life because we are too concerned about the past or the future. Appreciation for the present moment is great advice. Nice post, Alpana! xox
ReplyDeleteSo absolutely true! We need to live in the moment as completely as we possibly can and enjoy all that surrounds us. I realized this profoundly the other day when watching my one-year-old granddaughter at play. Babies are ever in the moment! How freeing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiring post!
Hi Alpana:
ReplyDeleteLife is about moving forward.
Many people struggle, lose their health, hoard, and sacrifice many values, just to arrive at what they consider happiness to be
Here's what I've learned:
You can't hoard ANYTHING. When you attempt to keep everything, it will on only cause emotional distress. It's only when we freely share what we own that we become rich. It's only when we share our love, our joys that we receive anything in return.
I don't believe the ultimate destination IS death. Death is merely a transition.
You're right! Life is NOT a destination. Life is all about the journey.

Haalaat ke saanche main,
khud ko dhalna hai zindagi.....
Thank God,there is something different..no love..please Mausi...love this one..
ReplyDeleteWhat a wise post, full of wisdom. Life always teaches us the hard way. A very apt dedication to Larry. He has indeed helped you in appreciating the journey rather than the destination. Congrats Larry!!!
ReplyDeleteLife is like a ripe juicy peach when your eating a peach you dont spend the time wondering how it was made,if a bug ever sat on it, or even worse " WILL THIS BE MY LAST Delicious peach" or after you have eaten it and it was not so sweet do you cry/ worry that you will never eat a sweet peach again? No you just enjoy it when its great and reach for a new one on the tree when it wasn't sweet!!! Enjoy life that same way!! Keep reaching for the sweetness!!!

Oh soul sis...I've been with your blog the whole day...reflecting on what you wrote. Most of the time, I really feel that I'm losing time on many things and I'm just catching up. I've always worked my way to be an effective person...but you know I realized that there's more to life than that. I am learning to take each day one step at a time and be open to God's surprises...to relax and to enjoy the people around me and the things I am doing now...
ReplyDeletetruly loved it :*
well written...lots of wisdom there...I agree with you...
ReplyDeletelife is about enjoying the moments...more happy moments you have, more happy a person you are...
we forget that and live for future forgetting to make our present happy...at the end when we look back, it's too late...
A wonderful dedication ... rest assured you will have my support always. I am proud of you and how this post shows how much you have seen. You can only feel alive right now, in this moment. Why spend every day fearing the things that can go wrong? Why spend every day regretting the past? This moment right now is a gift and is priceless, just like you.
