Every journey has an end………

Every journey has an end………

A climax, a destination or a certain moment at which we know we have achieved the most that we could have achieved out of a given situation. It is a collaboration of these many ends of multiple journeys that fashions the most significant and important journey of all, the journey of life.

From the moment we are born, each and every one of us is destined to embark on this ultimate journey of life. Birth in itself is a complete journey of which the end would be when the tiny fetus has developed into an infant that makes its way out of its mother and instantly cries to announce its arrival into our world. This cry then signals the ending of one journey but also immediately begins the journey of another.

From birth till death every individual strives to reach their own destination. They travel the road of their choice coming across roadblocks, speeding fines and taking detours which successively contribute to getting them where they want to be. That the final end of the dangerous journey at which the person feels he would have achieved a sense of contentment and success, but is this really true?

In this unpredictable quest of life, people tend to expect to reach a climax at which they will have achieved everything they had desired. This is not so, people may dedicate their life into achieving something they feel is important to accomplish yet fate may still cause them to fail. We need to understand that the ending of every journey may not always be what we want it to be, but something other than what we have planned.

Have you ever promised yourself you will not stop until accomplishing something you have always dreamed of? We all need goals in life in order to have something to live for. They may seem as small things to others but if they have a great meaning to you then don’t stop until you fulfill them.
Have you reached where you thought you were heading towards……

  1. Beautifully expressed Alpana. I believe that we all need goals in life to succeed at life, although they need to be realistic goals and must have room for making adjustments in the original plan. Life itself brings about change, and that change may cause original plans to be changed. As you said, endings may not always be what we planned, but if we have accomplished our goal, we have succeeded.

As the great showman Rajkapoor has said- " The show must go on...."
No matter what life has to offer, we should never stop us from doing our karma...One day we will indeed be rewarded very big.

    God Bless U!!

  6. This is amazingly written, Alpana! Yes, there are goals we all have and we strive to achieve them...sometimes the journey is not quite how we planned, but that's what makes life what it is - unpredictable, difficult and yet so much more ♥

  10. I believe that a journey should not end though. It should continue till our last breath. Whenever we achieve any goals lets extend it and continue our journey to achieve excellence..
    Wonderful article..Congrats :)

  12. Very nicely expressed. Do we always know where we are heading or does our intention differ to the destination arrived? Sometimes yes and sometimes No... but what I enjoy is the journey!

  13. You're right, Alpana. Whether one follows the goal or not, it is better to make goals. Take me for example, I always make goals but following them is completely another task.

For me, the journey is important more than the destination and you have brilliantly expressed this in your post.

    Lots of love and peace.

    Joy always,
    Susan

    P. S: Missed you all these days when you were away :)

  15. the journey of life is a continuation of setting goals till we serve our purpose of living. we accomplish one and set ourselves to strive for the other. often these goals change it's course and we are bound to adapt the transformation, we adjust according to the 'U' turns of the journey. sometimes we misinterpret it with the end of the road. holding patience we find it is just the beginning of a new.

this post has a new light to that unknown journey of life.

  17. What a beautiful post Alpana , one that made me think, yes I do have goals or should I say I always had but never did anything about acheiving them as I never thought they were of any importance an always a little aprehensive of being ridiculed by some. I have faced many different journeys in my life some paths I never would've dreamed I would be faced with and have been detrimental both physicaly and phsycologicaly, I am trying ro get back on track with my personal goals and one in particular is regaining my self worth after it has been totally shattered. thank you Alpana , God Bless, Anna Romano xx

  22. I've been reflecting on this last night as well as Raven's Butterfly,Jessica's Freedom of Letting Go, Savira's post on Passages and today, Paulo Coelho's Closing Cycles. Isn't it great that every journey must come to an end and then recycle us back to life? A new one that is and always heading towards something better...greater!

Perhaps that's why God sends us opportunities to detach ourselves from people and things ~ because everything'll come to an end.

You asked if I have reached my goal. I'm still a bit far from it but I'm striving ti run the race til I get there ;)

    Wonderful reflections soul sis :*

  23. Loved this deep and thought provoking post of yours, Alpana. We all look forward to something, call it goals or desires or dreams. But not necessarily that we get them. Life throws us curves and as someone had told me that we are dealt different cards, good and bad and it is how we deal with these cards that is what is important. And no matter what never give up hope.

  24. Beautifully and thoughtfully expressed here . . . I am still on the journey, learning and growing every day.
    Blessings to you!

  25. Very well expressed and indeed thought-provoking. Everyone needs to have three things on their list & in their mind: destiny, hope and high self-esteem. If even only one of these is absent, the person needs to put as much work as it needs to achieve what they are missing. We all need a goal. We all need to pave our way to that goal's achievement. Great post.

  26. What a nice topic for a Sunday morning. You summed it up well and with emotion and feeling. I think I take from this that we should be more reflective on the actual journey, it's highs, lows and in-betweens. Most times the journey is truly in the traveling and not the destination at which we arrive. Great post Alpana.

  27. where you are is where you are because of the choices you/we have made. Your future is where you lead it..

  28. This much is true, that we have no control over when our journey ends, because tomorrow is promised to no one.
