I bring to you a song which always moves my heart, touches me deeply, it used to be my Dad’s favorite song, and I do hope you all like it. I am posting the Glee version, because this video touches me deeply.
IMAGINE
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I've always loved this song and Lennon's art as whole. Not a huge fan of Glee, but I might make an exception solely for this song. Great post.

I like John Lennon...a lot!:P
ReplyDelete"Imagine" has always been associated with communism but I give it a deeper thought and meaning.
With Glee and the inspiration it brought, it became more significant. It's like losing oneself inorder to reach out to others ~ just 'imagine' wow! What a powerful song :)
